I'm now 24 weeks and wondered if anyone knew when we are meant to start counting the kicks?

I can't remember! :)

Theres a sticky post in the third tri section. I saw midwife yesterday and she said to start counting now, (27 +5) and I should feel 10 every two hours.

28 weeks. I was told don't panic if they are not all the time - as baby will sleep - but to drink some cold water if I am suddenly aware I haven't felt them for a while.

I did go in twice with DD for quiet behaviour, they were always lovely about it xx

You're not recommended as such to count kicks but to know your baby's pattern. The whole 10 kicks in an hour or so is ridiculous, one baby could kick 20+ Times another once, it's all individual. Check out 'count the kicks' on Facebook. Very informative. X

I think they say 28 weeks but I doubt I will bother as this baby is soooo active I swear he is never asleep! I'm just very aware of how much he moves so it will be obvious to me if he becomes quiet and that's when I'll start panicking. I think it's definitely about knowing the pattern of your own baby as they're all unique, even in utero. But you obviously know that as this is your third:haha: xxx

When I had hospital on Monday they told me if I had a decrease of movement to call them but my little one is very active the fact it took her a good five min to get little one to stay still long enough to use a Doppler lol xx

My baby nowhere near moves or kicks 10x every 2hs. I'm starting to notice what makes her move and when now so I'll keep my eye on that. I've already been to MAU because her routine changed.

My baby also rarely kicks she just moves, does that count?
