me and my husband start :sex: again? It feels like ages since we last did. I had my ERPC on Monday and my bleeding has been very minimal. Now it is more like a light brownish discharge (sorry if TMI). I hardly notice it but it's there.

I know my doctor told me to wait until the bleeding stops and I think this is try and prevent infection. Is it too early for us to start having sex again?

If you're not bleeding you can ttc as soon as you want :)

Last time i did 5 days after my ercp ( at that point i was the same as you) and i thought it was lovely just to get back into the swing of things, you know..feeling normal. Anywhoo...if you're ready, willing and able id say go for it. You're the best judge of your body anyway!

Good luck, hun! :)

Does brownish coloured discharge count as bleeding though? I may possiby have to hold out a few more days.

Hi i'd wait till the brownish discharge has stopped personally just to prevent any infections.

i guess what i meant to say, is that you have to gage it yourself.. if its barely there i personally would go for it, if its more spotting on and off then you're probably right, give it a day or 2..you're nearly there anyway!!! :)

i am still having like brown discharge two weeks after my erpc, and i think i am just gonna go for it, but does this count as bleeding cos i know they say you wont have an af unless you have had 20 days free of bleeding but not sure if this counts.

i say if you feel ready go for it,maybe use some protection if you are orried about infection.

I would wait until you have stopped completely. Having sex too soon can cause infection. Spotting (no matter what color) still counts. You want to wait until you have completely stopped bleeding and spotting. Also, if you are TTCing, then you should wait atleast 3 months for your cycles to come regular again.

I was thinking about this last night again and I do actually remember the doctor saying not have sex until the bleeding has stopped and the discharge also has. I suppose it means we'll just have to wait a while longer. If it hasn't stopped within a week though, I'm not sure I'll be able to wait much longer.

I would go with what the docs say just to be on safe side sweety xxx

Hi-ya
They told me to wait 2 weeks without having sex. I stopped bleeding after about 6 days and then waited til about 10 days before we did it again. They also advised using protection til my next period. But i know some people want to try again immediately anyway.
Hope you're feeling better. My ERPC was nearly 3 weeks ago and I have to say my body is feeling pretty back to normal, even though I still look pretty poorly. It does get better
xxx

I'm pretty sure they just want you to use protection until you have your first period so that it is easy for them to date your pregnancy. I suppose that some people's bodies won't be ready to get pregnant again and others will. I'm just going to let fate decide, if it's meant to happen then I suppose it will. Also, I just don't want to waste any time with TTC, so we'll avoid any baby making until I have completely stopped bleeding, and after which point, we'll be at it like rabbits again!! Can't wait!!!!

My ERPC was only on Monday and today is the first day I've had any real pains but it's nothing too bad. Just worse when I go to the loo xxx
