I'm 4 weeks post emcs and still bleeding when breastfeeding. This normal? When did you stop?

I was quite lucky, I only bleed for 2 and a half weeks.

7 weeks with Thomas, 9 days with Sophie, both sections.

My consistent bleeding stopped at about 2-2 1/2 weeks but I bled off and on until about 7-8 weeks.

i Think i might be an exeption to the rule as I stopped bleeding 6 days post section

It was really heavy and lasted around 8 weeks. I should also add that a lot of times it would fade only to return full force the next day!

I had an emcs under general anesthesia after long, hard laborand pushing for 3 hours, so not sure if this made it any different?

About 6 week's for me. Very annoyingly my periods returned at 10 week's post birth despite ebf and continuing to do so until 18 months

5 weeks for both csections! Id think it was trailing off one day and itd b bad again the next.

6 weeks and still bleeding (fresh blood), not too heavy, just enough to spot the pad and to show when I wipe each time. Have no idea how long it would go on for :(

With my first baby vaginal birth-3 weeks
With 2nd baby csection -7 weeks

I'm at 9 weeks now, and have been to my GP who thinks I either have an infection or tissue/placenta left inside me. Just waiting on test results.

Ladies make sure you get checked out if you have prolonged bleeding!

Hey tublet,

DId you have any other symptoms except prolonged bleeding which led your GP to suspect you may have an infection or tissue left inside you? Thanks x
