I also never realised baby rice is "bad"? Just never gave it to my LO because it doesn't taste nice ... well doesn't taste of anything.
For me, if you look at the ingredients in baby rice it's pretty much the same as rice pudding just with ground rice not whole grains. I don't have that as a meal, its a desert since there is no nutrition in it.
i think you're confusing rice cereal with something else.
rice cereal is just rice cereal (ground up rice) with added vitamin b and;
rice pudding contains milk, rice, sugar.

nutritionally speaking they are not the same nor is it true as some say it has NO nutritional value.
again though, I just didn't bother with giving it because it doesn't taste like anything and to me the whole idea of feeding a baby before 1 is not to get his tummy full (he has milk for that) but for him to explore tastes and textures so rice cereal was pointless to me in that regard.
i don't understand the rice cereal has NO nutritional value statements I see on here all the time. explain why it has energy, protein, carbs etc? that is nutritional value.
water, as far as I know, is the only thing with NO nutritional value.
