When did your test line get darker?

I'm getting a little concerned.... shouldn't the line on my hpt be getting darker? I got my first positive two days ago, but it really hasn't gotten very much darker Maybe a little yesterday, but today it's back to where it was (and I guess I drank a ton of apple juice before bed last night, but not really sure if that would affect anything?). Ahhh....

HCG is supposed to double every couple of days so it should get darker really. I tested mine every two days and as you can see where my tests are lined up they got darker each time. BUT I don't think you should panic or worry- how many dpo are you and how dark is your current line? x x x

dont panic too much, if your first line is faint then even when it has doubled over the 2 days it still isnt going to be massively dark. mine went as dark as the control line after 8 days and did a test 14 days after first bfp and the test line was darker than the control

mine stayed faint for the whole of the first week that i found out. it wasnt until some time into the second week that started to see definate dark lines. try not to worry too much yet. i was about 5+ weeks, when i got my dark line x

I agree with nomorenumbers- look at the top two tests in my pic- they were at 12dpo and 14dpo and there's not a whole lot of difference. Try again in a couple of days and compare it to your first one- sure it will be darker then

Thanks ladies! I would have been due for my period today. My test from 2 days ago was dark- dark enough that you could see it from a ways away. But the test I took this morning isn't quite that dark... so I don't know. I'm not having cramping or anything... Oh, I hope it sticks!

aw good good hun! i know how you feel hun, bnb is fantastic for support and every thing but i think it also leads us to being hyper sensitive to things that happen to everyone else - if i hadnt been on bnb i would have gone insane but at the same time i wouldnt have tested 5 or 6 times to see if the lines were getting darker either lol

When I got my first BFP and tested again 2 days later the line was pretty much the same! It took around 4 days before it got slightly darker and about a week and a half before they got really dark! xx

Mine took a few days and I never got a full on blazing BFP....congrats on yours though!!!! H & H 9 months!

I wouldn't take anything from the test lines. They just tell you that you are pregnant, not how pregnant you are. One test could just have more dye in it than another. It's hard, but of you can just relax and enjoy your BFP - testing over and over and agonising over the darkness of the lines just gives you something extra to worry about! To echo everyone else, the darkness of the lines is soooo dependent on factors such as how much you've drank, which brand of test you're using and the time of day that as long as there is a line there I wouldn't worry! Which I know from personal experience is so much easier said than done. x
