When does baby's heart begin to beat .. ?

I've read its starts beating around 6 weeks. Not 100% on that though.

i had an ultrasound at 6weeks and heard it.

I had my ultrasound/scan measuring at 7 weeks.. and heart beat was there and they said normally around 6ish weeks but depending on baby too.

Mine was 5 + 6 and then she said the measurements made the baby 5 + 1!!
I just stared at the screen with my mouth wide open watching this tiny little blob beat away!!!

I went for an early scan because of pains and they estimated me at 5 weeks and the heart was beating then

I've heard 6-7 weeks usually. However I never get early ultrasounds.

I went for an early u/s and 5 weeks 5 days and with a vagina u/s we could see the heart beating clear as day. We didn't hear it but, the heart was beating away at 120 bpm!

They saw mine at 5w5d but it wasnt quite measureable. I went back at 6w1d and it was 122 and 131 and we got to actually hear it

Generally 6 weeks, but can happen a bit earlier or later depending. Our centre will usually do scans at 7 weeks at the earliest to make sure there is a HB as earlier can just cause unnecessary worry if it isn't seen yet.
