When is the best time to have sex after positive opk?

I got my first VERY clear positive OPK today around 12:30. Would having sex later tonight make me miss my surge?

Youll be ovulating within 12 to 72 hours so tonight will be fine

NOPE! like baby said, you will ovulate within 12 -48 hrs so tonight will be perfect. Throw another in tomorrow for good measure if you can! Good luck!

Thank you!! I'm so excited. This could actually be our month! We've been trying for a year and 4 months. I was diagnosed with PCOS so I'm happy to see that I'm ovulating now.

Ugh so I probably shouldn't have done this, but I took another opk 6 hours later and it was negative. Now I feel like I missed it but i am having random pains on my left ovary.

Once you have your surge you will ov after. .. even if the test goes negative sometimes the surge only lasts a little while
But the only way to be sure you actually ov is by temping
