When should I test for the first time?

Hi everyone,

Me and OH are starting TTC from Saturday (24th), I came off my contraceptive pill last thursday and have been bleeding since. Since I have absolutely no idea when I will be ovulating (and I really don't want to go straight in to OPK's, would rather relax and enjoy it for a few months first), when should I first start testing?

Assuming you have fairly regular cycles, a cycle should be around 28-30 days with ovulation going about halfway though... So around day 14 or so. If you have an iphone, there's an app called P. Tracker. I use it, it tracks your period and shows apx when your fertile days are. There's a window of about 5 days where you're supposedly fertile, marking your O day specifically. Not a science and obviously every woman is different, but it may be a starting point if you don't want to jump into opks right away. Good luck!
