When should i test?

me and my boyfriend tried this month, the first time since we had a miscarriage in January. I'm just wondering when i should test, i'm not actually sure how long my cycle is, it has always been quite random, 32-28 days maybe more, but i was on the pill for a long time before i got pregnant so have only had 2 periods since my MC one being 30 days and the next being 28 days. I'm confused as to when i should test?

I'm so impatient though so will probably test early, but getting a bfn is so disheartening!

Does everyone test early or wait until they are late?
