When the docs do a pregnancy test.....

Make sure they look at it for the whole time its meant to be looked at.

Whether im pregnant or not (which is unlikely) my doc today looked at it after 30 seconds an said "there's no line it would have come up by now" and threw it in the bin.

I just keep thinking that could have been someone else, someone desperate to know or even convinced that they are pregnant and a doctor just pushing it to one side like that....truly horrifying!

I know doctors wont scrutinise the tests like we do lol but, to have waited the full 10 minutes wouldnt hurt!

It's ok hun, you dont need to be sorry. I knew it was going to be negative, I was more concerned that the doc just threw it away after 30 seconds without a second thought.

How many times have women left a urine sample at their docs surgery for them to test it only to be told its negative and they turn out to be pregnant after all. Thats alot of stress!!

very true.. thats why i'd just do a home test, and then maybe when i know a BFP would spring up right away get them to confirm it.
