When to announce..

On my last pregnancy I didn't announce until 20 weeks except for some close friends. I'm not even 5 weeks yet and my jeans are tight so I doubt I'll get very long before I have to say! I've told some friends but not family yet, I'll probably wait until as close to 12 weeks as possible

With my daughter, we told my family when I was 5 weeks because my dad was going to have a triple bypass. So we gave him a present with a onesie inside that said “worth the wait”. My sister got it first, then my mom, but my dad took like a full minute to understand! Haha, classic dad.

This time, I have to wait because we moved to a different state two years ago. My daughter and I are visiting our family the first week of June, so I’m going to have a dinner with my parents, sister, and in-laws and give them combo “mothers day/Father’s Day” gifts with onesies inside and a little baby item. I’ll be 8 weeks at that time. I think in person will be better than over Skype.
