When to have a HSG?

Ive been to my gyno after 3 mcs in a row now and hes got me down for a hsg among a nmuber of other tests. Whens the best time to have it done in your cycle so it doesnt interfere with ttcing, Im thinking straight after the witch has left but before cd10 so none of the sperm I get up there are washed away by the dye? I know how it works, just dont know how long it effects your uterus and tubes for, so any info would be great! Thought you ladies would be the pros when it came to stuff like this!

you go in in the 1st 10 days of af but after af, so its quite a short time span depending on how af is.
Thats was for mt clinic so i doest interfere with ov.

Thanks muncho! Thats what I thought, my af only goes 4 days, 5 max so I can slip in between then and cd10.

It ends up being cd 6 - 10. They say you can ttc safely as soon as any spotting stops, I had slight cramping and spotting the day after but it was very slight. I was definately fine to bd the next day! Good luck with it hun, its not as bad as you think its going to be! xx

Thanks Jo-Jo! I didnt think it was going to be pleasant, but a necessary evil at this stage of the game! Just didnt want to loose a ttc cycle to it though!

the prob is my cons that did the hsg only wokled wed!! But i think it could be coz its private, so just check which days they work otherwise you may miss out this month..

Ooo good point muncho, didnt think of that! Im too close to O day to get it this cycle, so will have to be the next one, will give them a ring this arvo and check! Thanks!
