i think im about 9 weeks pregnant, and im not sure wen i shld leave college, im doin motor vechles so it will have to earlish i no, but im not sure if its even worth goin back into college afterwards either :/

I don't know how it works in the UK, but here we have a set of general classes we have to take along with our degree program. Like I was an art major, but I still had to take English 101-104 and a couple math courses, etc. Even though it had nothing to do with art. Now I'm a bio major, so it actually does have something to do with my degree.
I finished my first semester 7 months pregnant and it was honestly the best thing I've ever done. I was going to take a couple art courses that after finding out I was pregnant I needed to switch. So I replaced them with an English class and a Philosophy class. Maybe you can do that? Get some of your general requirements out of the way.

It's hard, but it's honestly worth it to go through with your education. The way I have to look at it is like this; For every day that I go and work my ass off in school, I'm one day closer to earning my degree. Which means I'm one day closer to getting a well-paying job and being able to give my daughter everything she deserves.

With that said, if you stay in college, you definitely should take a semester off to get adjusted to life with your baby.
Good luck! xxx :hugs:

I'm at college in scotland so might be different, i basically told my course leader that i was pregnant when i was about the same stage as you and asked her whether i'd be able 2 continue with the course etc, how it would work with coming back after the baby is born and things.

as i'm a bursary student (basically i don't have to pay for my course) i can apply for funding for childcare in the nursery that is at college, they take babies from 6 weeks old. My course leader said it would be difficult for me to continue but she sees no reason why i can't continue with the course. I will have to go off on 'maternity' once i am full term at 37 weeks (providing there is no reason to me needing to go off earlier) lecturers etc will be able to email me with the work that the rest of the class is doing so i can keep up, then i just go back once bubs is old enough to go into the nursery, barring any problems, and finish off my course. I don't really want to have to leave my bub when its so young in the hands of other people but i know myself that finishing off my course will benefit my baby more in the long run (and he or she won't even remember being in the nursery etc)

obviously you will have to speak to your course leader and see what help is available in your college etc but good luck, hope it all works out ok, and if u need anymore help/advice feel free to pm me, and let me know how it goes :)

How long is your course? If its a 1 year course then you will be fine to carry on until you break up for summer. If its a 2 year deal then you should talk to someone at college to see if its possible to take a year out in between and then return, so the last year hasnt been a waste of time. xx
