when to stop working?

I work part time at a clothing store, usually only 5 hours a shift but sometimes 8, so I am always on my feet and when I have to work on the floor I have to bend down a lot to clean things up, which is getting harder. When do you think I should stop working? They said I can leave at anytime and come back whenever, which is nice of them, but I am not sure when I should stop. I am due Oct 2nd, so I was thinking Mid Sept, but by Sept 11th I will be 37 weeks and I think I might be too fed up with being pregnant to be at work, let alone dealing with obnoxious customers, lol.

Its okay to work till the day you are due. I tried to work till I was 38 but I had high BP so I stopped at 37. I think 38 is a good time to stop it gives you 2 weeks till your due to clean and get things ready.

Yeah, honestly, I just worry about going off on a customer, lol. Some people are so rude and I have had to bite my tongue so many times already,

i worked up until the day i was due and i'm really happy i did because it made time go by a lot faster then it would've if i had stayed home all day and not worked. as long as your blood pressure is fine and you're feeling okay, then i would work as long as you can. if your work is okay with you taking time off whenever you want, can you wait until you're further along to make a decision?? you may feel great when you're 37 weeks.. i felt fine even at the end!

I finished today I'm 31 weeks but I'm taking holiday untill the September 6th so I don't officiallystart maternity untill 38weeks

even tho id be capable id probably stop working at 36 weeks..
that way you have a few weeks to yourself..to sort things out and relax before the baby is here x

I'd say whenever you feel ready.
Don't over-do it, but you also don't want to stop really early and be bored waiting for LO to arrive!

I work in a nursery, and im struggling now, with all the bending down, and running after children lol.. im gunna finish on the 20th August and ill be 35+6, but ive got a lot of holidays in between as i had to use up my annual leave so ive only actually 3 weeks of work left. I was gunna finish earlier but then thought id get less time after the babys born xx

I work in retail too and I must say it gets really difficult in your 3rd tri! If I had an office job where I could sit down I'd work til 37 weeks but standing on my feet all day is too tiring!

I'm leaving at 32 weeks, but I'm not going back to work anyway so it doesn't really make a difference..

Everyone is different, one girl at my workplace left at 34 weeks and another at 36 weeks. Depends on how you feel really xxx

I think I will leave around 35-37 weeks, Ill just have to see how it goes.
