When will clomid be prescribed?

I have had only one consultation with my specialist and he suspects my problem is anovulation due to irregularity. So far we have had no testing done, my first transvaginal test will be done tomorrow I believe it's the FSH test but I still have to do an X-ray and some blood work and DH has to do blood work and SA.

I am just curious as to when the clomid will be prescribed. I remember him mentioning he wanted to see if I needed the alternate to clomid but it depended on my blood sugar levels .....? Something about diabetes but I don't have diabetes. So confusing! But my little bundle is so worth it

Does anyone remember what the order is? When exactly is clomid prescribed or is it completely different for everyone?

I'm no expert, but I'd have thought Clomid would be prescribed after all of your tests as they need to find out why you're not ovulating. I had all of the tests done a while back & they wanted me to lose 10% of my weight, then would they prescribe Clomid. I wasn't ovulating because of an imbalance of hormones - possibly caused by my weight. I guess if they find that you are ovulating but your OH has a problem then Clomid won't help. Xx

Oh no I was hoping he would just go with what this test tomorrow reveals and prescribe what ever he thinks is best. I'm so impatient! Guess I better prepare for a longer road. He didn't say anything about my weight during my consult with him. Im 5"8 about 145-150 so not over weight but I guess I'm at an average for my height..?
