Any hun, most of the time I either do it before I go into see the midwife or just before I leave the house, it makes no difference of whats in the urine tbh when its not fmu, its just dipped using a urinanalysis stick, and in fairness if you use fmu the urine is likely to be more concentrated as it has been in bladder overnight xxx

Any wee is okay. I usually do it at the midwife clinic after the fierce receptionist asks me for my wee sample and I confess that I've forgotten!

I always forget first thing in the morning, my MW apps are usually in the afternoon so i just fill my sample tube about an hour and a half before I go. I dont think it matters what pee you use, first thing in the morning or right before you leave, if theres anything in it, it'll get spotted either way.

It's not to test your hormone levels, just to see if there's bacteria (and sometimes ketones) in your urine, so whenever you do it is fine. Last time she just gave me the stick and I went to the loo and peed straight on it while she waited outside. I much prefer that to having to walk around the surgery with my pot of urine!

Thanks ladies, i didnt know if you had an infection or protein or anything, if it built up and was detected more easily if your urine was more consentrated or not. Im constantly going to the toilet so its always clear and diluted, even in the night i go 6 or 7 times my appointments at 12 tomorrow so think ill hold it in as much as i can about an hour before i go! X

At the clinic i go to in the maternity unit they prefer you to do it there, after you have your scan you are handed a bottle to go a pee in xx

My clinic makes you do it after they weigh you. They want it to be done. I guess they want it fresh LMAO

well i go in, announce myself to the front desk, weigh myself, and pee and dip my own pee. then wait in the lounge.

It doesn't matter. My MW comes to my home in the afternoons and that is when I do the urine checks.
