Where can you buy carobel?

Cow and gate do instant carobel as a thickener. Where can you buy it OTC? Doc said he can't prescribe it.

You can buy it from the chemist. If they don;t have it they can order it in for you.

Floofy my dr prescribed my carobel.. I have looked and you can buy it online for about £3!

We have given in with the carobel and the aptamil reflux.. Like your LO it made her horrificially constipated! :O( Weird tho as it didn't in the beginning!......

Yeah we've dropped the Aptamil Anti-reflux as from yesterday morning. It was soooo evil on her bowels! I had another hideous incident yesterday where she strained all day, then screamed for a whole hour, while I massaged her tummy and put her in 4 warm baths to get it out! Gah!

Your Dr CAN prescribe it but it's hard to find on their system, I'm not sure why, my chemist always struggled to find the codes or whatever in the beginning as did the Dr. However mine is the biggest pain in the ass I've ever had to call 'my Dr' and he still managed to change my prescription from Gaviscon to Carobel (under duress and a bit of a white lie about my Paed).

It's £3.95 from my chemist if you buy it, but you have to order it in.

Which formula are you using? Ive read up on the ingredients of aptamil anti-reflux and cow & gate anti-reflux and one of the contains carobel anyway. Maybe an option if its hard for you to get hold of?

Yeah we tried that last week which resulted in worst constipation ever! We're back on nutramigen and thickening it with carobel which is great so far... Got it fro

Aww my LO was on SMA Staydown and got constipated. It did pass though.
