There are quite a few names I like for a girl, but I think I've managed to narrow it down to 3. We're staying team :yellow: so wouldn't pick for definite until birth anyway, but I really can't choose between the 3. Although I do think this one is a boy so won't need any of these. Picking a boys name is proving impossible at the minute though! My other children are called Seth Alexander and Elsie Rae.

Martha Rose

Ivy Grace

Edith (Edie) Rose

I think having 2 girls with ER as initials could be a but much maybe?

My favourite would be Edith (Edie) Rose but I think Martha goes best with your children's names.

Hmm I like Ivy and Edith. If you don't want same initials what about Edith Grace? Or combine 2 of your names, Edith Ivy?

I love both Ivy and Edith, that's a tough one. I don't think having the same initials is a big deal.

I prefer Ivy in general but I think Edith Rose flows better than Ivy Grace and also sounds slightly better with your other kids' names, so I think I'd have to go with Edith Rose.

I love Ivy Grace :) I like all your names tho!

Ivy grace. I love grace though so maybe grace ivy, not sure how that flows though

Thanks! I think my favourite is probably Ivy Grace, but I'm due 22nd Dec so is it a bit too cheesy? (ie Holly and Ivy Xmas carol) But then I do really love Martha and Edie too, so I'm stuck! I need to have 3 more girls so I can use them all! And it'll end up being a boy anyway so won't get to use any of them.....

A mate of mine is holly. Her bday is oct and always gets asked why holly if not xmas baby. So i do t really think it matters

Oh, and a girl I went to school with has a daughter called Martha who is the same age as my son. She's in the same room as him at nursery, and I occasionally see them both (she's also a Facebook friend). Would that make using Martha weird?!

Nope. Its not like you can help what others call there kids. If it was your sister then id say no but a nursery kid, go for ut

I like Martha best; it's a strong name and works very well with your other kids' names.

I don't think you should rule it out just because there's another child in nursery with the same name.

It's not just that she goes to the same nursery as my son, the mum is an old school friend too, a Facebook friend, and we have met up a couple of times since our kids were born. Just a name at nursery wouldn't put me off in the slightest!

They are all really lovely names!! I'd go with Edith as I think Edie for short is so nice x

I vote for Ivy Grace - i'm starting to really love the name Ivy! I think Seth, Elsie, & Ivy go well together -- especially Elsie & Ivy! Personally I think Elsie & Edie are too "cutesy" when paired together as a sib-set and sound too similar.

Martha is not my style at all. I'm in the US though and I only know 2 Martha's - one who is 65 yrs old and the other who is 40 years old but she legally changed her name bc she disliked it so much. Other than Martha Stewart, it's not a name commonly used in the US. But it seems (from what i've seen on this site) that in the UK it's more well-liked.

I think I'm totally swaying towards Ivy Grace, the more I think about it, the more I love it! I love Martha too, but where I'm from in the UK I think it will get pronounced Marfa a lot, which would really annoy me (I already hear Sef more than I'd like to! Why people are incapable of pronouncing the 'th' sound in a name, I don't know!) I agree that Edie is probably too cutesy with Elsie.

Now I just need to find a boys name I love seeing as I'm convinced it's a boy. There are plenty I like, but none that really jump out at me like Seth did.

I love Edie and Ivy! I don't think the girls having the same initials should be too much of a problem, it's not like they will often get called by them.
