which pump do you recommend

Hi,
I'm pregnant with my 2nd baby, insurance will cover a new pump. My options are the medela pump in style and the ameda purely yours. I used a medela last time, but have given everything away. Any opinions or advice would be appreciated.

I used the medela pump in style that i got through insurance. Personally it was a life savor as lo was not able to latch initally. Most hospitals have medela pumps that you can use during your stay. If you use one at the hospital dont forget to bring the tubing and stuff back with you. Its yours. That ways you will have 2 sets.
I would also recommend requesting one soon as insurance can take its own sweet time!

i think our hospital uses the ameda. but they recommend both

Sorry no personal experience with ameda. My sil used one and she seemed to like it (or maybe that's what she got from her insurance!)

I have tried both, I hated!!! The Ameda, I couldn't get anything out, but when I pumped with the Medela I had no problem. This is just my opinion, but stick with the Medela!

Haven't used Ameda but I definitely love my Medela!
