I think Cole William is nice, and unless you plan to call him by his full name all the time I really wouldn't worry about flow, unless it sounded super clunky.

He likes William Cole because he would have his Papaws initials, but we'd call him Cole..so I'd rather have that as his first name. William would still be his papaws namesake, so maybe!

I think either are nice. My dad goes by his middle name and there have never been any issues with it. If you plan to call him Cole no matter, then I would say to do William Cole as it has meaning to your hubby

I think William Cole sounds better, but Cole William doesn't sound bad, either. And like someone else mentioned, how often do you really use his full name? I think that it will work very well no matter which way you go with it.

My SIL has a son named Caleb Aiden. From birth, he was called Aiden by all his family members. Once he started school, though, he started going by Caleb. He's almost 9 now and he responds to either name. So just a thought that once school starts, they may call him by his legal first name, even if he goes by his middle name at home.
