if you have what kind of things are you going to put in it, im getting kinda stuck for ideas now lol

i'm putting in like a timeline kinda thing to show how bubs is growing (compared to fruit lol its rather amusing) and like how they are changing or developing each month. i've done a page about the first scan and i'll probably do one for the second scan that i had too.

i'm going to do a page about me and my close family (sister's mum and dad) with stuff like fave food, film, book, some hobbies and a little bit about them and then another page or two with other family members etc and pics of them and things.

im going to do a page or 2 (depends how many pics i end up collecting) with my growing bump and probably add in something about cravings somewhere

im debating putting in the birthstory once i've had him/her but im not too sure yet, have to decide when they get here and see if i can actually be bothered to write one hehe

what else did you girls do?

Me :D

I've basically done a timeline from the moment i found out i was pregnant to now. All his scan pictures are there etc.

At the beginning i also wrote how me and OH met etc xx

I'm just ducking in to this thread here to share a little on scrapbooking! I'm in the 2WW after a little pill accident, so I was looking round these threads and saw this and I thought ooooh scrapbooking haha! I love doing that sort of thing, i've got a photo album of me and OH which I looove adding to!

It might be a nice idea to have a page where you found out their gender, cut out bits of coloured paper in shapes, stickers, sparkles and glitter and butterflies for girls and maybe a muddy puddle and football colourful design for a boy? Maybe write down how you felt, name ideas, anything you want them to know. Maybe take a bump picture once a month to document how you're changing, do a page about the month and how you and OH feel? Maybe leave a page once a month for OH to do himself, that'd be really lovely! And then when they're born, maybe a little snip of their hair (if they've got any), keep the umbilical cord bit? And maybe get them a pair of booties and a hat to wear when they're born, and when they grow out of them stick them into the book?

Just a few little ideas, thought it might help! You could also do a page for when they first moved, first scan, first preggo test at the start and how you felt to be a teen mummy-to-be? Hope you don't mind me ducking in to this thread, I hope my ideas help!

I would never say anything about being a teen mother, it's completely not relevant, i'm a Mum to be like everyone else, kwim? Please don't be offended, i really don't mean it to come across that way i really don't xxx

Since I found out I was pregnant I've been taking a picture of the bump each week, sticking it on to a piece of card and then writing things like how I felt, if I felt anything new, any cravings I had, what the weather was like (random I know lol) and I've just started to put the actual scrapbook together with lots of photos and writing all the history type things like how me & OH met, where we were born, names of grandparents etc.

I absolutely love it lol x

I'm not offended, I do understand very much that it's not age that makes the mother! Good luck with your scrapbooking hun, hope some of my other ideas were useful!

ooooooo thanks girlies, some great ideas there, just need to get my butt into gear and go to tesco lol need some glue hahaha

Well I am keeping a pregnancy journal, and am also going to make a baby book - rather than buy one, so it'll be more like a scrapbook. Am then going to add to it each year as the baby grows older so they will have a nice presnt when they are 18!

I am in the process of doing one. Mine is a bit more like a pregnancy diary though. I have been putting little updates in about what happened that day and how I felt. I have also bee talking about how much progress I have made in doing the nursery and buying things. Been putting in a few pictures of what I have brought too. I will put the birth story in too. I want this to be a diary about my pregnancy so one day when she is older she will be able to appreicate it. I doubt she will when she is younger. I also hope it will help her to understand what I went through with her when she is one day pregnant. It is a lot more detailed than just saying oh I had BH a lot.

A woman I know had a really good idea for something to put in my baby book: she put the first words she said after the baby was born. I thought it was a sweet idea at least.

I'm putting a picture of my positive pregnancy tests, my ultrasounds, the first words I said after he was born, and my bump pictures :) I'm doing a pregnancy diary too.

i have a similar thing :) ..
and to earlier posts, i don't see why it would be wrong about being a teen-mummy-to-be?
i mean we are teen-mummies, and no it doesn't make us any better or any worse than older mummies, but then again a mummy who's alot older than normal mummies, could put what it's like to be an older mummy - you'll have different experiences because of your age - that's a fact... it doesn't have to be negative.. if my mum had me really young, i'd love to know how she felt, and how she coped with it and stuff..
xxxx
