Why are my coffees coming out strong in my cafetier?

Ever since I have had my cafetier my coffees are coming out super strong which I really don't like! what could I be doing wrong? The coffee I'v got is medium, number 3.

Any tips? X

Filter could be broken so more coffee is getting through?

How big is your cafetiere and how many spoons of coffee are you using?

It's a 2cup cafetier, only tiny! Put 1spoon full in, even tried half! Still strong!

Hope the filter isn't knackered! Havent had it long! X

If the filter was knackered you'd know really because it'd be dead bitty. I always find the amount it tells you to put in is way too much. I'd put in maybe a level teaspoon for a 2cup. Also if it's too strong you could just put half in your cup and water it down
