Why are some women so bitchy??

I feel really awful though because the lady I was going to meet today tried to contact me on facebook to see what was going on as she hadn't heard from me this morning and I had totally passed out on the sofa after putting Ethan down for his nap. Was just so tired, it was one of those moments where you sit down and next thing you wake up and when I woke up, it was 12:30pm. I apologised profusely to her and luckily she was ok, but I felt really rude once I realised she'd been trying to contact me. We've exchanged numbers now though, so hopefully we'll be able to keep in touch that way.

I echo what others have said, you are better off without them, I too found that some of the baby groups I went to were very cliquey- I did manage to befriend some mums and we would meet up once a week in each others houses for coffee but tbh it felt it was on a really superficial level/kind of false other than having babies around the same age I never felt I fitted in and my lifestyle was so far removed from theirs that it kinda petered out when LO was about 6 months and I returned to work - I bumped into a few of these women on the street in recent times and they blanked me(like totally blanked) so I guess my instincts about it being a bit false were correct.

It is disheartening but not all mums are like that and I guess it's just about meeting women who you have more in common with than just babies the same age.

I hate bitchy women, it really drives me nuts, but then im pretty forthcoming in saying what i think, and if i dont like someone i wont be friends with them, end of!!

I'm sorry you guys have had tough experiences some of the women I've met at groups have been cliquey but others have been lovely and I've got couple of good friends as a result. I hope you all find the same soon and ignore the idiots...don't waste your time on ppl who don't deserve it

Ah I hate women. I often struggle to get on with them, because I don't do sneaky jibes or bitchiness, I'm the type who just won't talk to people I don't like iykwim! I get on better with lads, but it's no good for Daisy (or my relationship!) to surround myself with men
I take her to groups, she mixes with the kids and then we leave I'm never overly interested in getting friendly with people at toddler groups, I generally find that because of my age (and because I don't really bitch or gossip!) I don't really fit with them. More often than not I feel judged because I'm young, and shyness often comes across as being rude!
