Ds1 had a nt measurement of 1. Something and results were in the 10,000's.

Ds2 measured 2.7mm & was given 1 in 155 which resulted in an amnio as he wasn't growing right at 20 week scan. Whole time was full of worry & fear & i always felt robbed of a fun pregnancy :(

Sooo baby number 3 measured 2.4mm & results were 1 in 980 which i know are good but still crap compared to what i hoped to see & now if baby is healthy i'm scared it will struggle to grow like it's brother did :(

I just hoped to put the measurement behind us this time & enjoy it & i can't :sad1: i'm scared xx

My los is 2.4mm too by combined with bloods put me at 1 in 29,300!! X

Yeah my bloods must be shit hey :(

Ds2 had placenta problems which is why his bloods were rubbish & i'm scared this one will too x

They look after u Hun knowing that from ur sons pregnancy. Try not to worry about everything just yet, it could well all be fine xx

I see a consultant in 3 weeks time because of the problems last time but that didn't help me sleep last night lol!

My last baby & chances of a nice low risk birth in a local birthing unit are slipping away from me :(

:hugs:

I can't remember DS NT but his results were 1:1600

DD NT was 1.6mm and 1:30 chance. Immediate high risk. We refused CVS and amnio and had 2 specialist scans at 18 and 21 weeks to look for markers, which the consultant couldn't see and she reassured us that DD looked fine. It still didn't stop me feeling the way I did, I didn't enjoy her pregnancy at all, all I did was worry, I worked with special needs children at the time as well, in a resisdence so it was really close to home.

This baby had a NT of 2.5mm (so higher then DD) just waiting on blood results now.

I know nothing will stop that feeling, but 1:980 is a good result, I hope you can get past it and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy :hugs:

Thank you. I know the figure is ok, it just hasn't put my mind at ease cos a part of me is thinking, the bloods must be similar to last time (as fluid measured better this time) to make the number not a really good high number.

Only time will tell i guess xx

Hi,
Sorry have no info but my last pregnancy wasnt growing as she should of... she was 2 weeks behind with femur and my plecenta wasnt doing as it should, NT was normal but bloods wasnt. xxxx

It depends when your scan was done too, the further along you get, the higher the nt measurement will be. Remember, the bloods factor in things like age and bmi which is why everyone's risk will be different even with the same nt measurement. Try not to worry x

Really? I was wondering this but couldn't find any information about it, I was put forward a week so nearly at the cut off point for the scanning at 13+4 days.

Yeah 😃 I was googling like mad before I had mine so I knew what to expect but as baby grows so does the fold. Hope this reassures you a little, sounds like little one is perfectly within range for gestation 😊

I was 12+5 & the nuchal fold measurement seems ok at 2.4mm. It's the bloods that have made my results look crappy. I had low PAPP-A last time which ended up with baby having IUGR. It was a scary pregnancy, just a bit sad if this one is heading that way too xx

I know, it's all worrying isn't it? I fully expected mine to come back with low Papp a because I have growth issues and sga babies and low amniotic fluid but must have come back ok... But bet I still have the same bloody issues again this time around! X

I was the opposite lol, i thought i'd get a nice easy low stress pregnancy! Not quite working out that way lol! I have been a lot less sick this time so i am very grateful for that :)

Does the low Papp-a come back from these tests then? I've had iugr in 2 of 3 pregnancies so was curious if anything would come up x

Yes it does, although it can only be one cause for the placenta not working efficiently x

I never get my blood results until i see the consultant or ring the screening midwife. I see my consultant on the 25th so i will know more then. Really low PAPP-A would make your NT results look bad providing everything else is good. I'm in the healthy bmi range, don't smoke etc so i am pretty sure my bloods will not be ideal when i discuss the results.

IUGR can be late onset & i assume that's a different cause. Mine last time was early onset & picked up at 20 week scan. He measured 2 weeks behind by then & never caught up xx

Yes bible b mine were late onset. We aren't 100% what happened with my first who died but my second was growing well and actually big at 32 weeks then at 34 weeks his growth had completely stopped since the previous scan, he was delivered a few days later x

Late onset is often missed due to the last scan being at 20 weeks normally. It's scary really when you have half your pregnancy left to go & you rely on a midwife with a tape measure unless you are lucky enough to get a scan. I get a scan at 28 & 36 weeks this time even if baby measures fine at 20 weeks which i'm pleased about x

Hi, sorry to bump this. Yes my scan was done at 13+4 so she said could be higher. Also, she said I am now 13yrs older than when I had my eldest, so my numbers will be different x
