WHY do ppl ask if it was planned!!??!

it bugs me because it kind of feels like they're saying 'well if it's not planned, it's not as wanted' which is crap. I didn't plan it but I think that me and my OH deciding that I wouldn't take the pill anymore was planning it in a way. I was told I was practically infertile and we wanted to give any baby that had a chance of coming a long, a chance of developing!

A woman I know who has been trying for ages really annoyed me when she said 'if anything goes wrong it's not like it was planned' as if to say that because it's not a planned baby, his health and well being doesn't matter. Cow.

So i told ppl at work today my good news...and as sure as hell i was asked "was it planned!!" I'm a teacher and my due date falls straight after the summer hols and they were saying "you planned that perfect didnt you". I just gave them the LOOK as if to say "you're pushing your luck!!!"

That annoys me so much too ... but its even worse when the bloody midwife writes it down in my notes that my preg wasnt planned and she didnt even ask !!!! The cheek ! I never wanna see her again ! Im so gonna complain !

Oh,this annoys me sooooooo bad!

People ask that all the time.It'sa very family-oriented town so it could be planned but on the other hand I'm young so...everybody wonders.

And what am I supposed to do now?Tell them the whole story how it came to this,share my feelings about it to a person I barely ever speak?

It doesn't matter if it was planned or not,I'm obviously keeping it so that would mean that I want it and all the rest is completely irrelevant...

Does anybody now if they sell huge signs that says : Don't even think about asking.

I'm not embarrased to say that it wasn't planned,I just don't think that it's some strangers buisness...

I've been asked this question a million times and just say it was a shock!!! meaning it wasn't planned! but my husband gets stroppy with me because he thinks its portraying that i didn't want the baby!
I too was told i was likely to be infertile so this certainly was a shock, but a nice surprise!!!
