Why do they want to put me on birth control?

Ok so I have severe pcos and I didn't respond to anything that they have tried so far. All of the information is in my signature. I have finally started taking metformin like I should have been all along. I have been taking it for almost 2 weeks 2000mg of er (they don't know that I wasn't taking it before)

Well we are on a break for a while from meds and everything and they want me on the pill. Why is that?

Also since I am now taking the metformin do I have a good chance of ovulating on my own?

No idea why they want to put you on BC. There's no evidence to show it's going to help with anything once you stop talking it. Personally, I would say no. Doctors don't always know best, I know from experience. I had to switch because my last one was an idiot.

I don't have personal experience with metformin but I have heard stories that some women do start ovulating on their own. But I have no idea what %

it can even out hormone levels and kick start ovulation. i went on dianette and then metformin and it worked, i was pregnant within a week of starting metformin. i went on dianette for 3 months.
