I am due on the 25 and am still am not 100% sure on a name.
My poor husband is sick of me changing my mind, he thinks I have actually made it up but I still am not 100% sure!!! Maybe the fact that I am not 100% sure means that name is out? Ahhhhhh.

The name as of now is Kyla. Ever since I was a little girl I loveeeeeedddddd the name Kyra, that was going to be my daughters name since I was like 12. In my previous marriage we had decided to use that name with Lee as the middle. I still do love that name but am not sure I want her name to be associated with my ex husband (which was not a good relationship at all). So, I changed it slightly to Kyla. Which, I also do love....buttttt am starting to think of Kyra again. Why should i let my ex have any say on this baby?!

I also really like Monroe, which is totally different than the above two, lol.

I just want something perfect for my little girl!!! And I want something different that is not on the top 100.

Why is this so difficult???? My sons name was picked out before he was even conceived and we never even thought of changing it.

Is anyone else having as hard a time as I am?

Lol I'm sorry you're having such a hard time with the name. Id say if you've had your heart set on Kyra for that long to go agead and use it. If you're worried about your ex, spell it differently.

Kira Lea

Or switch the middle name completely:

Kira Monroe

Are your pronouncing it kai-rah or cure-ah?

You also do Kyrah or Kirah

Just do what you want and don't let your ex be in the back if your mind through any of it. F him.

I've also had my girls name picked out forever and dh is just letting me have this one I think lol.

I agree girls names are so hard. It took 8 months to find my eldest girls name and now 6 months pregnant with my 2nd girl we're having similar issues.

Yeah, that's what I am starting to think now - screw him! haha.

I am pronouncing it Kai (as in eye) -rah. :) I think we would scrap the middle name Lee and go with a family middle name.

I may play around with the spelling, Kyrah? Kaira? Kirah Kyhra, hrmm, lol.

With DD I changed my mind the whole time but in the end we went with the original name! I worked with someone who spelt it Caira - totally different spelling but same pronouncation.

just a suggestion of a similar name

Ciara pronounced Kee-ra

To my knowledge Ciara is pronounse "see-ar-ah"

there are 2 in my sons school - its definitely pronounced kee-ra lol although americans with their attempts at creative spelling and lack of Irish knowledge often misinterpret it

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ciara_(given_name)

I also love Kyra Monroe - I think that's an awesome name!! So pretty!

My DD has a boy in her class called Monroe! Cute.

I personally dont think you should panic. Babys dont need to be named immediately. Spend time and a name will fit x
