Mervs Mum...even though I was compressing while pumping, I took your advice and didn't really focus on how much was coming out. I tried to look at and play with the baby.

The baby is loads better at getting the milk out than a pump is. Have you tried hand expressing? I could never get much out with a pump but I was able to get a bit more when I expressed by hand.

Like Marley said even when the pump fails Mia will still get milk - they are ok but not a great mimic of Mia's suck. My supply follows that pattern too - I stopped pumping in the evenings eventually as it just frustrated me! I'd say continue for now thugh as part of your nursing vacation and supply boosting efforts and maybe hand express later on in the day.
