I have noticed lots of sleepless nights threads on here so thought I'd add my own!
Posted one a few weeks back saying Lucy had started to wake up really early, about 5 or 6 in the morning but I couldnt find a reason why - she wasnt sleeping during the day, she was wet but not desperate to be changed, wasnt hungry and just seemed to be wide awake. Anyway, I started feeding her more solids and found this to be effective... for all of about a week!
Now its 20 times worse!! Last night she went to bed at 8, woke at midnight so I gave her her dummy and she went back to sleep, woke at 2.30 and didnt go back to sleep til just after 3, woke at 4, went back to sleep at 5.20 and woke and stayed up at 6! Its like having a newborn again!!
I refuse to get her out of her cot, but should I be going in to give her dummy back to her or should I leave her just to cry herself back to sleep? No matter how early she gets up, she refuses to have her breakfast til 8. I dont understand why shes gone from sleeping 8 - 8 for a few months to suddenly waking and refusing to sleep. HELP!

I read a leaflet from my hv that said babies can sleep through early on but some can just randomly start getting up between 3-6months of age in the night for no reason. I dont know what to suggest as jacob is a nightmare always has. but big  XxX

Tye has started doing the same thing.. He went from sleeping through the whole night to waking 5-6 times sometimes for no reason just wide awake wanting to 'play'. He used to wake at 9am but now is up by 6am sometimes earlier but wont even have breakfast untill 9! Oh and he doesnt sleep in the day either!! Some nights he is really restless though, he will cry out in his sleep and move so much he turns himself right round in his cot in his sleep... Im not sure but i think it might be his teeth.. I wish he would go back to sleeping through though :( :(

the last few nights archie has been waking halfway through the night and then waking really early in the morning too...i duno wat it could be...but last night wen he woke up at half 1 i jus left him to it...he was whinging but not heartbreaking a cry or anything and eventually he went back to sleep but sumtimes he wont and i have to get up giv him a dummy but even then sumtimes but archie is the same wen it comes to breakfast hes not hungry. n to be honest its not like he even wants to play u can clearly see his tired...but if u do manage to find a reason do let me no lol x sorry cudnt be more help x

Lemme know if you find a reason too! Charlotte was wonderful. Started sleeping through before 2 months old. She hit about 7 months and now she's up 2-4 times a night and I can NOT figure out why...and she's up EARLY and wants to STAY up. Since I'm pregnant again I am REALLY not amused. I haven't had more than 3 hours of sleep in the past 5 nights, combined. Cannot figure out how to get her to sleep through!

Maybe its just because they are more alert? Want to play and be interested in the world? I know its like that with day naps, once they are more alert and playing they have a harder time shutting their minds off and relaxing.

Even though she isn't acting like she's in any significant pain, the first thing I'd suggestwould be teething. My LO was like this when she was cutting her first tooth and now its through she's gone back to normal.

Colton started waking in the middle of the night around six months and here just recently started to sleep through again, although still has nights like last where he will wake up 1 or more times.

we put a few dummies in Hannah's crib and she can usually find one and put it back in herself without any problems. (a few times a week I'd say we have to go in because she's managed to throw them all out )

Is it possible she's teething? Or learning a new skill?

Could be teething? Grace has been sleeping through for 3 months but the last couple of weeks she's been waking up 2/3 times in the night crying because she is cutting teeth x
