Why?

Awww sweetheart!! Bless you!!.
:hugs::hugs:
I know what you mean, i saw the heartbeat at 8 weeks, and felt reasured, but theres lots of ginetic reasons why this can happen(not as in ur friend has a ginetic problem, i dont mean it like that!!) Thats what happened with me.. it wasnt directly related to me falling down the stairs, but that just topped it all off...
As shit and unfair as it seems, sometimes these things just happen...i know thats no comfort.
Lots of love to you and her
xxxxxxx

I am really sorry for your friend but this post made me so worried.....i m scared

:hugs: I think its probably because like me, you're sat there 9 weeks pregnant thinking 'could that be me?'.

Hey Lisa...
Your friend has gone through a very similar thing as I did last year...I thought I was 13 weeks...but the baby had died at 5 weeks, it was 2 days b4 I was due my scan when I started to bleed...so I thank God I didn't have to go for the scan and find out then, completely unprepared!!!

The Midwife said to me, before the scan, "Do you still feel pregnant?" and at the time I though, cheeky B%^&h, what a question!!! But when I think more about it now, no I didn't still feel pregnant...my OJ cravings had dissappeard and my boobs had stopped tingling, so as long as your symptoms are still with you then don't stress...
I smile every time I get a boob pain!!!!!

As for your friend, you just need to be patient and wait for her to come to you. Just offer your support and that you have an empty shoulder to cry on!!!!

Yeh, doppler may be a good idea 4 u??? (I have got one and intend to use it all the time, like I did with Grace- my evening ritual!)

:hugs::hugs::hugs::hugs: xx

...I wanted to post in this thread to offer a little bit of reassurance to the girls worrying that this could happen to them.......Because this did happen to me, three times. I had "Missed Miscarriages" at 5 weeks, 8 weeks and 6 weeks respectively and all were diagnosed at my 12 week scans as I had no bleeding.

Firstly, for those of you girls who have had an early scan between 6 and 9 weeks and saw a healthy heartbeat....the chance of your pregnancy not continuing is as low as 2%.

Secondly, although I did not know my babies had died until I had my dating scans due to the fact I had no bleeding....I did, in retrospect KNOW that each of my pregnancies had ended because with all three I had sudden cessation of all pregnancy symptoms. With the third pregnancy I had pink bleeding at 6 weeks and knew then that I had lost the baby, but as bleeding is common in early pregnancy and as it was not red blood, my doctor refused to send me for a scan....At my 12 week scan the sonographer confirmed that the time I had the bleeding was the gestation at which the baby died.
- Just try and remember that all Moms are paranoid that something will go wrong with their pregnancy...but its not because of any sixth sense...thats normal...Don't panic if one or a few of your pregnancy symptons subside, because symptoms do come and go and as you approach 10 weeks its common for some symptoms to fade as the placenta takes over the production of HCG.....The concern should be if you have sudden cessation of ALL pregnancy symptoms.

Wishing you all a happy and healthy pregnancy!

Thanks 4 all the good advice on here for all of us who are now a worrying wreck!! I'm feeling better these days but i'm thinking its cuz i'm nearing the 2nd tri!!

Thanks so much for this Rachie. Its exactly what I needed to hear. :hugs:

Thanks Rachie,
I will try to remember this post. However i'm sure i'm going to have many more panicky moments and be worrying myself into a mess. My DH and family are starting to get annoyed with me now- but when you want something so bad it's scary to think that it could be taken away when you are so close to achieving it.
-"MervesMum", I too am now considering a doppler but my DH is against the idea as he thinks that if I can't hear the heart beat I will be in a worse state.
So i'm not sure what to do.
I hope you can relax this weekend, esp when you OH is away.
Thinking of you!
D

Lisa check out ebay for dopplers they're quite reasonable!!x

im exactlly the same feeling paranoid that something is wrong , but i have symptons , sickness every day on & off , sore boobs & very tired , how many weeks do you have to be for doppler to pick up heartbeat ? violet x

I think you'd be lucky to get it at 12 weeks. about 16 seems to be average.
