I took 5mg of letrozole cd3-7. Started opking on cd11 and got positive opk (first response). Went in cd12 to check for ovulation and it showed my lining wasnt ready yet and three follies that still had some growing to do. He said the positive had been false and was just my body reacting to the meds. So to start opking again cd13...so I did and got another strong positive. Called fs and they said stop opking and bd through 12/31 and start progesterone suppositories 1/1. Well I am cd17 today and have noticed ewcm starting in the last day or so...so I took an opk on a whim today and it was positive! So now im wondering if I should start my progesterone tonight or hold off one more day. Im nervous it will prevent ovulation if it hasnt occured yet. Is this a bad sign for this cycle...the getting so many positive opks? Im afraid my body is trying but not succedding. Anyone with expierence? Advice? Or thoughts? Greatly appreciated. This is my first time on letrozole.

Follow the advice of the specialist. Progesterone rises at a certain point after ovulation, once the egg has been released. I don't know what would happen if it was there too soon x

I think it's safer to wait a day then to take it to early. Progesterone is more important later in the luteal phase to prevent LPD and to prevent miscarriages due to insufficient progesterone. So a day difference in the beginning shouldn't be a big deal.

Thank you ladies for your advice.

Do you all know at what point my opk should go negative? After ovulation? Before?

It should only be + for a day, unless your using a monitor which can show medium positive for a couple of days then a strong positive for a day. I gave up the opk's and have been concentrating on cervical mucus, which I record. Turned out the cm was right in line with the fertility monitor anyway, so I should have saved myself the money of buying the expensive monitor, lol x

Do you all know if releasing more than one follie will lengthen a surge?

Really not sure. I think though that its the surge that leads to the release of the egg from the follicle not the other way around. I'm not 100% sure though x
