Does anyone else work full time? I'm going for a 3rd round interview for a job next week so it's looking pretty hopeful. As long as the salary is enough to pay for childcare, I'll have to take it as Aisling and I are living with my sister at the moment with us sharing a room and her sleeping on a mattress on the floor :( So for us to have an independent life, I need to work.

She'll go from being with me full time to being in childcare full time for long hours and I'm so worried about how she'll cope now and how I'll cope without her, I love being with her during the day. I know needs must but I'm so worried that I'll end up feeling like someone else is raising her and I just get her up and put her to bed :(

I work full time as a nurse, including nights, weekends and evenings. James has been in childcare since he was 6 months old cos I have no other choice. With all the debts FOB left me with I can't afford to live off benefits. He is a happy, well adjusted child, and although he occassionally says 'no work mummy' he is perfectly happy to go see nanny or go to nursery.

I work full-time and then some plus I'm studying for a licensing exam and taking on some additional contract work outside of my job. I was able to take off 8 weeks when I had Danny and it was hard to go back. There are still some days that I would much rather stay home and play mommy but that just isn't the way it is. It does get easier though. The woman who watches the boys is like a second mother to them now.

ETA: Getting a 3rd interview is awesome! Go you!

I also work full Time as a nurse. My lil girl does also say no mummy when I leave her but after 5 mins plays away!! U cherish your days off with them
More!!

I work full time (40+ hrs a week). It was hard at first, went from being sahm to full-time working mom. As well as making the adjustment to being a single mommy. It was alot.

The kids do ok. At first my DS cried everytime I left until he got used to the daycare woman. Now he only cries when he is overly tired. My DD is just 12 months so it just depends on how she feels that day. Its hard and some days really suck and you just want to stay with them. But others better and you treasure all those moments you have together even more.

I work full time in health care so shifts can be different, I stupidly moved and settled miles away as my Ex is in the Army I can't upright and move before Christmas or have enough money for a deposit just yet as I've been here for two years my home town council will not help me at all. It is tough and child care is so high but I need money to save for a deposit. X x

Thanks ladies. I got the job anyway which I'm delighted about because it gives us the chance of being somewhat independent and terrified about because I can't imagine not seeing Aisling all day. But I have to do what I have to do for us :)
