So I'm returning to work next month, LO will be 8 months old. I will be working 3 days a week 8.30-6pm.

How often does your LO bf?
I'm trying to work out how much I will need to send to nursery per day.

Also how often do you pump?

Any tips/advice on returning to work would be appreciated thanks :)

Ahh just typed everything and lost it :dohh:

At 8 months I was pumping 3 times a day at work..my schedule looked like this

7am-Nursed
8am-got to work
10am-pump
12pm-home to nurse for lunch
2pm-pump
4pm-pump

Although, he was starting to drop bottles at this point so it was soon after that I dropped the 2pm pump and eventually the 4 pm one and just recently the 10am one. Now I only nurse at noon.

When I was home we nursed on demand so it was sporadic. I'd say, twice in the am, 3x in the afternoon then 3+ in the evening and night.

hth!

my LO is almost 8 months,

I nurse before work and then pump around 10 or 10.30 -usually one side only and get about 5 oz, i pop home at lunchtime and nurse then and then pump at around 3 or 3.30 at work - one side only (thats just because LO feeds on alternate sides so I pump the same way)
we are doing BLW so she's not eating much yet but we offer food 3 times per day when we eat ourselves, so 5 oz is usually enough (although we do have a freezer stash if needed)
oh and my LO still wakes 2-3 times for feeds in the night.

He had (and still has) 4oz every 1.5-2 hours at daycare. I try to pump once for every time he has a bottle, and I still have to pump one or two extra times at home to keep up.

He nurses really frequently when he's with me, too, though. So if yours nurses less frequently he will probably need bottles less frequently. No other baby at our daycare has bottles more frequently than every 2 1/2 - 3 hours.

I think this is a must read if you are determined to continue BF for the long term: https://www.workandpump.com/freezerstash.htm

thats a great article Seaweed eater!

Ive actually started using my freezer stash for food - like making porridge fingers for breakfast for LO etc (as some of it was about to go out of date!)
