Worried about another loss

I am currently 5+2 weeks pregnant and am anxious that all may not be going to plan. I tested with a cb digi last Monday at 4+4 weeks and got a 3+ reading. I tried again at 5+0 and again today but am only getting a 2-3 reading now. On the standard tests the line is really dark. I have had a uti so have been drinking more during the day but this morning I hadn't had anything to drink for 8h. Any advice? Not got a scan for another 12 days. Xx

Hpts are not always totally reliable. I know waiting is hard, but hang in there and see what happens with your scan.

Hi Lala, the worrying and anxiety sucks. They say that the digitals sometimes aren't accurate and you shouldn't keep using them to check for progress but I know I was guilty of doing the same.
If you were getting a 3+ at 4+4 that is very early for it to show that. I wonder if that first test wasn't the most accurate.
Hang in there and try to stay positive or even put it to the back of your mind right now and wait until your scan. Could you even have your scan brought forward to next week when you are 6 weeks?
Im also curious, as I know I've spoken to you on the other part of the forum and you mentioned you have had 4 losses in total. Did you need any medication with your successful pregnancy with Bethan? Like even a low dose aspirin a day or anything?

hi justkeep. I can't help myself but use the CB tests even though I know that they are not totally reliable!! I suppose it is an addiction!!
I'm now 5+4 weeks and at least no bleeding which has never happened to me before - even with my sticky pregnancy. There is no way to bring my scan forward. I am only getting it a 7 weeks because according to dates from my LMP I will be 8+ weeks. i know I'm not that far along because we only DTD twice and also I was using opks.
Last time I didn't do much differently other than use progesterone cream daily from 5 weeks which I bought on amazon. I still had some in the cupboard so started again this time. I did take aspirin from 12 weeks and high dose folic acid throughout too but the folic acid has been that dose since we started ttc.
Good to see you are doing ok with your 2nd. How have the recent scans been ? xx

Yeah I defo recommend taking the low dose aspirin, my doctor said that it can do no harm at all in such a low dose but can work wonders.
My first miscarriage was early at 5 weeks without taking aspirin. The second pregnancy I took the low dose aspirin and it allowed me to get to 8.5 weeks. In my case the aspirin worked to an extent but wasn't enough for me as sure enough tests confirmed that I have elevated blood clotting levels so I also need clexane.

Anyway just trying to say that low dose aspirin is wise and obviously does something. I was told by doctors that blood clotting is the most popular cause of miscarriages.

I have another scan on Thursday which is still at early pregnancy unit but I should be almost 12 weeks so will be good to see the baby so clear.
My dating scan is next week when I should be 12+5.

I think you will be fine the fact you've no bleeding etc. I hope it rushes in to your scan.

LalaR - how are you doing? Just wanted to say the digis are terrible.

With my m/c last time, they were completely wrong. When my HCG was 97 they said 2-3 weeks which is meant to be 200+. My levels were still rising at that stage and the beta was after the digi so, you know, the digi was not at all accurate.

6 weeks today and still no bleeding so keeping positive. I tested again yesterday and there is still a super dark line. I have an early scan a week today so hoping I can see something then.

Hey im new on this site. Im stressed to the max!!! Had two miscarriages my last one was 5 months ago at 4 weeks pregnant. I found out the day after I was in hospital. I found over two weeks ago. Ive had a emergency scan due to crampin and shooting pains in my lady garden area. So my period date doesnt add up. My last pmt date makes me nearly 7 weeks preggo. My scan showed up 5. So il be nearly 6 weeks wednesday. Anyway I was shittin it at the scan and I still am stressed. There was the black circle- gestation sac isnt it?? Then like a bubble in it- yolk sac so the women said. Wheres the fetal pole??? Im really worried. I have a scan in 9 days to check for a heartbeat and fefus and I feel propa shit. I wanna be happy and love my bump but im scared im going to lose it and every pain makes me think I am. I didnt have any pain when I lost my others tho. Just pure red blood then the odd clots. The hospital cudnt understand why I wasnt in pain. Should I be worried bout this baby?? I want this child more than anyythin. Ive even tried to rest alot so I dont strain or anythin.paranoid crazy preggo person need advice or help or something

Well, currently 9+ weeks and still pregnant. I had an early scan just over 2 weeks ago and I'm back again for another look on Thursday. The first scan suggested I'm maybe a few days not so far on as I thought which would explain the tests. Also I had a uti so my wee was quite concentrate initially then really dilute. I hope everything goes to plan with you. L xx

I have been unbelievably tired - worse than I've ever experienced in my whole life. Also nausea most days only relieved by carbs!!! Hoping I start to feel better by 12 weeks as my little girl turns 1 then so we have a busy time planned with family gatherings and birthday parties!!

I was at epac today as I've had spotting since 2am but they said the baby is fine. I bled from 5-11 weeks with my baby girl so I hope all goes well for you. Xx
