LO has done this weird shoulder shrug thing when he shrugs one shoulder and brings his ear down to his shoulder. Dont know what to think. Goig to go to GP...have anybody else's LOs done this xx

My DD does this when teething. Babies get 'transferred' pain, apparently there's a nerve which runs from your mouth round to your ears. Watch for signs of an ear infection too.

I was going to say this lol xxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hmmmm interesting...didnt think of that. He is teething quite hard at the moment, he has a runny bum w. it. Dont think he has an ear infection he's not pulling at the ear nor is he crying in pain x

My lo did this, he would lean right down to touch his shoulder and so i took him to the doctors. She asked whether he was sitting ok without falling over, checked his ears and eyes i think and just said to record it and bring him back if it carried on. He stopped doing it about a week or two after and i haven't seen him do it since. It's hard not to keep thinking about something and so it might be worth just nipping him to the doctors for your peace of mind x

Thanks girls...your replies are very helpful. It could be any of those things. He has a one eye blinking tic thing so am concerned he has some sort of tic disorder...Evan was a forceps birth so am concerned he could have had some trauma to his nervous system but maybe these things will iron themselves out. My GP was not worried abt eye blinking nor paed. GP said these things should work out by abt 2 or 3 but I reckon I might get a second opinion w/ this shoulder shrug. Am such a worrier. I hope its something innocent enough xx thanks ladies...he's coming on a treat tho so hopefully it is ok
