Worrying 12 week scan

I was really hoping for some support or similar experiences. We had our NT scan today and the nuchal fold measurement was 5mm which is really high. Obviously we are really worried and have been offered a follow up scan and CVS at St Georges tomorrow.
I dont have the blood results yet to get my DS rating.
The scan has dated us at 10.5 weeks instead of the 11.5 weeks we thought we were, so is it possible that its too early and the fold could be thicker (the sonographer mentioned this was possible). We are not sure therefore whether to wait until after Christmas or to go ahead tomorrow.
Any advice appreciated

You are going to worry either way, but the sooner you have the CVS the sooner you can get the results.
