Worth buying a moses basket? How long are they in it?

loulou will b 6 months next week shes not a big baby and loves her but from next week she will be going in cot its entirely up to you hun i was not going to bother but as been my best buy far

All 9 of mine were in one until at least 6 months! Even my son that was over 9lb born!!

We used a moses basket for the first 8/9 weeks then he looked too uncomfortable as he likes to sleep with his legs kind of bunched up (like a frog) so was trying to put his legs up the side of the basket! He slept in his pram during the day from birth until we changed the pram to the pushchair around a month ago now he sleeps in his cot when we are at home and the pushchair/sling if we are out.

Mine was a waste of money. I think they dip in the middle and wanted Joseph to have a firmer base to support his spine. Also he just looked uncomfortable. So we used his carry cot after 3 weeks. The only good thing when he was tiny was that he could go to sleep in it on the living room floor then be carried to the bedroom. But we could have use the carry cot for that too. Up to you but if you want to try it I would say borrow one and get a new mattress. Good luck xx

i got given mine and wouldnt have purchased one, i bought new mattress, i also have my crib but havent used it much as we are co sleeping

Callum lasted 10 weeks in his but he kept waking himself up by knocking his arms on the side so we decided to put him into his cot and he sleeps a lot better in there then he did his moses basket. The only thing we missed when we moved him was the rocking of the stand, but he self settles now so thats not a problem anymore xx
