Would u mind telling me how this compares?

Well here's my opinion, for what it's worth....

Firstly, I don't think an ultrasound can cause a mc (internal or external scan). There is actually evidence in recurrent mc (>3) that regular scans actaully reduces the mc rate (no one knows why ?maybe reducing stress).

Even when the cervix is open, its only big enough for your finger tip to enter it and even then you can't get your finger all the way inside it in to the inside of the uterus (and when its closed, nothing would get though except fluid (e.g. sperm, blood etc)) so there is no way the probe thing of an internal scan can go anywhere near the uterine cavity and cause problems. The cervix is a few centimetres deep/long, so the uterine cavity is well protected away from the outside world. If a scan does cause bleeding, its because the cervix itself has probably bled (not from inside the womb) or because the insertion/removal of the probe pulls out some of the blood that is sitting in the vagina.

Everyones periods are different heaviness and I am afraid, so are everyones mc. So you might not be able to judge based on others' experiences. However, having said that my bleeding was heavier than yours, although I had been given tablets and pessaries to bring it on. I found out at 12 weeks my LO had died, but was measuring 10 weeks. Aftre the pessaries kicked in, I bled like a heavy period and the pain was worse than a period but bearable.

Hopes that of some help.

Thanks, i'm so sorry u went thro that? It's just spotting now so i had a feel of my cervix is medium and i couldnt feel it open, but i didint feel so much as i got scared as something came out on my finger, it was kinda fleshy and like a small worm, like a thin peice of string in thickness and about 1/2 cm long so to big do be lo, any idea?

oh hunny, im so sorry that you are having to post here to try and find your answers.

I think everyone has a different experience of miscarriage and as impossible as it is, you have to take yourself away from this. The worry and stress will make things harder for you and just taking some peaceful time away til you know the future will be much more benficial.

Please dont think im being horrible, i just cant imagine how hard this must be for you right now. I hope you get your answers soon and i prey its that your little bean is safe and well

In my two successful pregnancies, I had bleeding. Sometimes, heavier than a period (I had complete placenta previa). My second pregnancy, I never had previa, but I bled. I don't know why. It was red. In my last three pregnancies, the only difference was cramping. I lost all three. Rest, drink water, and we ALL are praying for you. That's all you can do...

I dont know what the fleshy thing was. sorry i don't know

I wouldnt keep feeling your cervix though, as if you are miscarrying you don't want to introduce any infection. xx

Daisy I'm so sorry for you loss. Please take care of yourself hun. My thoughts and prayers are with you.:hugs:
