Would you choose a C-section again?

This thread has been very helpful to me, thank you for posting xx

i had a c section with my first, emergency it was a very long labour and his heart kept stopping. recovery was a doddle and we bonded perfectly

i wanted to try vbac with my second. for 4 days my body was trying to go in to labour and i could feel loads of pressure to the point i couldnt walk. its the most intense pain ever. i had an elective booked for when i was 12 days overdue as i didnt want to go too overdue and i dont like inductions. my son was 10lb8oz, the elective was a breeze, i even went home the next day. i had him on the thursday and by monday was back to normal.

knowing whats happened with me, i would now choose elective every time. Lots of people are really shocked by that and a lot of the natural home birth mums just cant understand it, but then they havent been through the labours that i have!
