we have a spiral toy for carseat/cot. Would we get told off by midwifes/staff if we had the toy on the handle of the carseat when taking it into hospital when taking bub home? has anyone else taken their carseat into the hospital with toys attached before? you can tell im new to this

It's a bit of a pointles exer
Icise, you wont get told off but baby cant even see that far when they are brand new fresh form your oven!

A newborn can barely see the distance form nipple to face ad certainly doesn't NEED toys to look at then.

If you want the toys then take them.

that is true hehehe okies ill take them off. thanks :)

I'm not going to bother putting them on tbh.

i wouldnt bother either. theyre better when bubs is 3 or 4 months.

They won't 'tell you off' its up to you what you put on your carseat as long as LO is safe!! It is a little pointless though, Newborns can't see long distances and are asleep most of the time. Something I found out the other day was that newborns can't even see the majority of the colour spectrum- apparently only black, white, red and shades of grey are visible to them at the start! :D

they wont tell you off or anything hun but it would be pretty pointless. I Never put any toys on carseats they can become very dangerous if your in an accident.. On another thread one lady went to say if you would not throw it full force at your baby face dont have it need them in the car.

your baby won't need anything like that for weeks! keep it simple... they are so precious and too much stimulation could really impact them in a bad way... all they want is you and your warmth and voice ;)

I'm keeping mine til a little later on when they are able to see and enjoy the toys.

I don't see personally they will tell you off, unfortunally baby wont appreciate at this stage and so early and prob will be asleep. But if thats what you want to do then why not, then its up to you. I personally wont take any toys as being a newborn he'll just sleep
