Vanessa.. Is that your name? I hope so! hahaa Have you had any complications with the baby? Cause I bled for like 3 days in the beginning and only then is when I had a few more ultrasounds to make sure everything is fine... Now I'm on a "normal" schedule.

Yes Vanessa is my name, lol. I did have complications at the beginning (risk of ectopic since I had one before, bleeding, and what they call threatened misscarriage) But at that time they were seeing me every 2 weeks and doing scans. I am also on a "normal" schedule now since the pregnancy is no longer high risk. At my doctors office there is an ultrasound machine in every room and each appointment they will do a scan and measure the baby and make sure they are measuring the right length for the time of pregnancy and then they listen to the heartbeat to make sure it is above 120 and sound normal.

Thats awesome!!.. only one or 2 rooms has a machine in it at my Dr.'s place...yeah because I was bleeding I was at a high risk of pregnancy... but thankfully all better now!!.. As your are too!! .. When is your Dr.'s appt. again?? The 18th??? What time? I hope you find out the gender!

It is the 18th my parents live 4 hours away and they are coming to the appointment for the 1st time. So I really hope that 17 weeks is not to early to find out. It will be a nice Christmas present to know.

I get so tempted to buy things for Baby but I keep holding back until I know what color to buy it in. haha

I am also the complete opposite of you. Everyone is telling me that the baby is a girl and I have a feeling that it is a girl as well but I am hoping for a boy. I know your hoping for a girl with everyone telling you boy.

So hopefully we get the outcome we want, but even more importantly no more complications and a healthy baby!

Vanessa... thats soo cool that your parents are coming! that'll be such a special moment!!.. My parents are coming with me to mine on Jan 11th cause My husband will be away So I'll be video taping it... yet excited for my parents to come for the first time as well!!...

People at work are telling me girl and some of my relatives are telling me boy.. I think girl because of my babys reat rate... old wives tales.. but you never know!! Healthy is all that matters you're right!!

Glad you had a good heart rate at your appointment. At least now you have a higher chance of the ultrasound being correct since you will be further along. Hope it goes by fast. I can't wait till my ultrasound next week it will be the first one in 12 weeks! Plus the first one my OH will be able to attend

During the beginning I didn't want to but no I do just so I can get the nursery ready. Plus I've had my prediction since the start and my OH thinks the opposite so it will be great seeing who was right. I don't care either way though.... as long as it's a happy and healthy baby!! Hopefully I can get some really good pics too!!!

Oh honey thats awful! How will you manage to wait?! Mines not til the end of Jan though, and Im really excited although I have a feeling its a boy. I dont know why!

Dee I know how you feel! I had a scan at 7 weeks and my doc isnt doing another one until 20 weeks!! It has been driving me crazy, and now Im only a week away cause we are having our scan on the 12th and its so hard to wait! Im glad to hear everything is going well though
