"You'll practically have twins!" ...

There's 2 years between my 1st and second and there'll be 2 years between my second and third. She'd love me!

The comments... Oh the comments. If I'm not getting comments on the fact this is number 3, it's my age, that because I have boys I must need a girl... List goes on :(

I was expecting you to say 2 under 1 when I reD the title.
2 years isn't remotely close...
Mine will be 21.5 months apart, and I had 2 miscarriages before conceiving this one

Thanks for all your support ladies. Definitely feel a bit more ballsy and prepared for future comments now :)

2 years seems like a perfect age gap, my brother and I were 14 months apart so I wonder what she would think of that?

Firstly happy 26 weeks  I actually cant believe how fast your pregnancy is going.

Secondly, that was a really odd and judgmental thing to say, it isnt close hun but perfect.

Thirdly, I will glad put my hand up as the first quad mummy on the thread  15 months between my first and second, 22 months between my second and third, and shock horror, 361 days between my third and fourth.

Ah Tasha I know, I can hardly believe it myself, less than 14 weeks until due date!
I thought it was a pretty strange comment, especially as a two year gap seems very common from what I know!
Haha never spoken to a quad mummy before. I wonder what that busy body would make of that?! :haha: xx

and what's wrong with having twins anyway? :haha:

i'm actually pretty stoked about having a closer to two-year gap this time around (20 months instead of last time's 15) - so many things will be easier - he should be walking by then, self-loading spoons, hopefully sleeping better - i actually think 2 years/close to 2 years is an excellent gap!

i think some people just speak before thinking.

Erg. I have gotten comments like that too - they are so annoying! My kiddos will be a tiny bit less than 17 months apart. I have gotten: "geez, don't you know how that happens yet?" "Wow, one right after another!" I think it is so rude!

Definitely not the same as having twins :p I would of LOVED to have had one of my newborns playing or eating or even watching a kids show on a bad day while I feed the other. Lol

my twins will be 2.5 when this baby arrives. . we always get the "was it planned?" And looks like we are insane.
I actually had to announce it on Facebook with "yes this was planned" cos everybody assumed we made a mistake grr.

People are just stupid and rude.

My brothers have just under 10 months between them :-/ xxx

There is exactly 13 month between my first and second baby and there will be 13 month between my second baby and this next one.

Agree with pp to have a comeback next time "yes it'll be great"...

I am pg now with "irish twins" dd born march/2014 and new dd earlier in March/2015..

Sorta dreading the comments I may now receive..

:)

Good luck

Oh, everybody always has their own opinion on things. And the closer together they are, the more people seem to feel like they have the right to view the current pregnancy as an "accident". I hate that. My firstborn will be 16-17 months old when # 2 comes. By 6 months of age, I had people questioning me on when I was going to have another one. And then, those same people acted the most shocked when they found out I was pregnant again. Go figure!

A 2 year age gap seems to be a lot of people's ideal gap so I'm surprised you got that response but just ignore it. It's not their life so it doesn't matter whether or not you line up with what they think is ideal.
