Your experiences - c sections

After a difficult labour with my daughter I've opted for an elective c section this time. Can anyone share their experiences of this and tell me how long you were in hospital for? Thanks

I had an emergency c section 5 days ago. After 12 hours I was allowed to get out of bed and have my catheter removed. And then 24 hours after I was able to get up and walk about I was allowed home, once I had done two 'good' wee's lol. Painful but any birth experience is and medication helps. X
