Your favourite takeaway....

Chinese, though there are absolutely no good Chinese take outs around here ( you have to drive for over an hour to get to a decent one) they're all fusion restaurants with no clue locally. I've actually had to learn to make it now.

TennisGal - I think my mum would disown me if i ordered Middle Eastern food in...THE SHAME :haha:

She also feels the same about Middle Eastern/North African restaurants...''Never as good as my cooking''.

My grandma definitely would! I'd get the suspicious eye brow

And can't believe I didn't think sushi or Greek food....!!

Not that I've ordered sushi from anywhere since we moved out of London.

I went for Chinese food, but only because it was pretty much 50 / 50 between Chinese and Indian food. Chinese gets ordered more frequently over in this house, as it's cheaper than Indian.

Indian food however, because it's less frequent (ie. Chinese once every 2 months, Indian twice a year type of thing), is nicer :p

I can't believe I forgot about Caribbean food! Bristol was soooooo good for it. Goat curry, rice and peas and creole salad mmmmmmmmm

Mines Indian, chinese or chippy depending on mood too!

Indian for me, everytime. Really not keen on Chinese!

I'm curious what a chip shop is?? I know "chips" are french fries here, but I have never heard the term chip shop before! Also, do your pizza places cook kebobs? I've never heard of that either! Sorry for the questions but I'm quite curious!

Chippies / Chip Shops sell british 'chips' ... they're like french fries, but usually chunkier. Common meals are things like kebab, a 'chippie dinner' which is usually chips drowned in gravy with peas and battered fish, bread buns with chips on etc. Not my type of food, but seems popular around here

I don't think I've ever had chinese lol, love Indian but always got to have a bit mcds, KFC or any chicken shop x

LOVE Chinese, had sweet and sour chicken with fried rice last night :)

I voted Chinese but it changes from time to time.if we order Chinese oh and I share chips, fried rice, extra hot chicken curry and chicken chow mein.

A close second is Indian I usually have a chicken madras or chicken jalfrezi with pilau rice, chips and kulcha naan

KFC is one of my favourite places however I also love Indian. Me and OH are going for an Indian meal next Saturday :D

Would always have indian given the choice, Used to love chinese until i got pregnant, im not sure il ever eat it again now

From my Fav place i always have a chicken makhan or jahlfrazi! with pilau rice and naan. Although my granny makes the best curry <3

Like PP said, our chips are like fries but much chunkier...if you get a chippy tea, you tend to get chips and gravy, with a bread barmcake (like a burger bun). You can get them with meat pies, jumbo sausage, fish in batter with gravy and mushy peas etc...

Its also a common thing where we are that our pizza places also cook kebabs and burgers and chicken pieces too.

I like Chinese food, but I almost never get take-out Chinese...we go to the all you can eat buffet instead. For take-out, I'd say pizza is my favorite :)

fries are my favourite take out ever. but good fries, trans fat free, not shtty mcdonalds fries

the place that has the best is the shop called New York Fries
