Zoloft while TTC?

Is anyone else on zoloft (50mg) while ttc? I'm on it for my anxiety & not sure if it will hurt to keep taking it til I get pregnant & see a dr?

I was once on Zoloft for depression and then switched to Paxil for depression and anxiety... I can not advise you to stop taking your meds--I opted to a while back as I just want to stay med free unless absolutely necessary--talk to your doctor--weigh the pro's and con's of continuing the medication while ttc and when you get pg. I know there are serious possible side effects to the unborn fetus while on these meds--but if you are having serious anxiety issues (my mom has BAD panic attacks if she doesn't take her meds; whereas I've done fine using coping methods learned through reading and seeing a counselor--my son has to take clonazepam for his anxiety although he is slowly weening himself off)... Good Luck with this--I know how hard it is!!

i would avoid it if you can zolofts been linked to neural tube defects which usually occur early in pregnancy

i took zoloft while ttc, and my dr told me if the benefits outweighed the risks to continue during pregnancy, which i did. my baby girl is very healthy. But this is something you should discuss with your dr everyones situation is different
