Hi ladies, I know missed miscarriage is a big worry for most pregnant women, but the closer I get to the 12 week scan (mines in 12 days), the more and more worried I get about having a missed mscarriage.

I'm 10 weeks 2 days and saw the heartbeat at 7 weeks 1 day (thank goodness), but since then I've had very little symptoms - some dull cramping usually at nights, the odd queasy feeling when I have an empty stomach. the only real "symptom" I've had is extreme tiredness.

I know the stats are on our side, esep if you've seen a HB, but I worry so much about not throwing up and having traditional pregnancy symptoms. Sometimes, like right now, I feel not even a little but pregnant.

I hope these next 12 days pass quickly and it's good news - and I hope you all get your good news.

x

I think a bigger worry than what you've described is when you DO have symptoms that suddenly just stop. While symptoms do tend to ease, sometimes as early as 9 or 10 weeks, it seems most stories of MMC are accompanied with stories where women experienced a dramatic loss of symptoms and sometimes weight loss. You're right, it's a fear for all of us, I still worry about it. You're also right that the odds are on our side. Good luck, I hope all is well!

Thank you AmandaAnn. I have to keep reminding myself that although my boobs are sore and tender, (hopefully) the reason why they've eased off a bit is because i'm nearing the end of the first trimester.

sometimes I feel like the symtoms have completely stopped, other times, like when i feel tired or slightly queasy, i think maybe everything's okay.

I now I must sound mad, but I really wish i had promient morning sickness to reassure me.

I'm contemplating getting a private scan before my 12 week scan for some reassurance, but not sure if I should just wsit seeing as it's in 12 days.

Good luck to everyone out there. x

I know it seems like an eternity when you're waiting for a scan, but I would wait, personally.

I think that's good advice, i might just end up worrying myself even more if they say it's too early to see certain things and then yet more worry(!)

I know tis might sound so naiive, but I never thought preganncy would be uch a scary and worrying time, I thought getting pegnanct was the hard part, but there's so many milestones to pass, it feels like a constant worry. x

Im having the same problems Meg, this is the worst feeling ever :(
My 12 week scan is in 18 days and i just dont feel pregnant! I had morning sickness quite bad and thats gone i had really sore boobs but they aren't to bad now but i will say this pregnancy came as such a big shock to me that i haven't felt pregnant through any of it
I have had 2 scans so far the first when i measured 6 weeks pregnant but they found no heartbeat so asked me to come back a week later, well i was still measuring 6 weeks but they could see "a flicker" i think this is my reasoning for being a little paranoid

I feel the same as you, I know I'm not as far along but I have ZERO symptoms. And my doctor won't see me until 11 weeks for my first appointment. Being my first I wish he would see me earlier, but they want to weed out the pregnancys that won't make it. I wish I would get just a LITTLE MS, but I haven't had anything at all!

Congrats ladies :D

I never had symptoms, apart from being tired and I had a very healthy pregnancy/birth. Also symptoms disappearing isn't a bad sign, hormone levels change all the time as part of a normal course anyway :flower:

I know it's stressful but try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy, it'll be over before you know it

Last year when I found out I had blighted ovum, I had symptoms up to about 8 weeks, then they suddenly disappeared. I was hoping that maybe I was just meant to have an easy pregnancy that time around since my 2 kids' pregnancies were horrible with nausea, and vomiting... But when I went for my scan at 10 1/2 weeks to date the pregnancy and get ready for my surgery, we found that the pregnancy had actually just stopped, the baby absorbed itself, probably when my symptoms disappeared, and I was still feeling a bit pregnant because of the size of the sac. Went on to have D&C since it was too large to pass on my own...

SO if you are still having symptoms, even slightly less pronounced, I would say you are probably ok... GOod luck!

Ladies

Missed miscarriage is my big fear too! It really doesn't help things when it has happened to my best friend only a few weeks ago :nope: She thought she was 9 weeks pregnant, had a scan and the :baby: had died at six weeks  She had had some slight spotting, which is why she had the early scan to check things, but you do hear of women not having any signs at all until they find out at their 12 week scan :nope:

Add to this that I have sailed through this First Tri symptoms-wise - only things I have really are having to get up to pee every night, a bit of tiredness and pulling/stretching pains on occasion. No sickness or nausea and only slightly sore boobs sometimes (lots of veins on them though :haha:)

Got my 12 week scan on Tuesday and just praying all will be ok

Good luck ladies x

I felt exactly the same over the last few weeks. I didnt have many symptoms to start off with but they did seem to be easing off. I went for my scan yesterday afternoon and I was nearly having a panic attack beforehand, I was admant something was wrong. I also saw the HB at around 7w but I just couldn't shake the feeling!! Thankfully everything was ok and baby was jumping around!! I even got put forward 4 days!!

I am 9 weeks 5 days and i have been feeling better than i did was exhausted before alltho i am still tired now i keep aving naps when i can and also hungy more eating alot not had any sickness about 2 weeks ago felt sick but havnt actally been sick.. i havnt had scan or anything yet i have it on 3rd may..

Thank you everyone who posted, I guess there's nothing we can do but wait and hope for the best.

Hopefully those of us who don't have any or many symptoms, or if they've eased off we've those lucky ones! Let's try to keep positive, and enjoy the weeks we have before the 12 week scan - I guess worrying that something is wrong or could go wrong won't make it any less so if it is.

Good luck to all us ladies, positiive thoughts and vibes to us all xx

Ooh I feel just like you. This is my 4th pg, (1 LO & 2 mmc's) & I'm so nervous. I've had some symptoms, queasiness when not eaten, tiredness, sore boobs, (but only a little), cramps & backache, but that's it really. I'm very lucky to have had weekly scans up to 10wks & so far, fingers crossed, all has been well, but now I'm worried again as some days I could just forget I'm pg as I feel fine. With 1 of my mmc the symptoms came & then stopped, with the other I had symptoms all the time & with my LO my symptoms were pretty much non existent, the main one being extreme tiredness.

Really hope all is ok for you, I'm sure it will be & are just blessed with a good pg.

Take care
Jayne
