Hi girls,

Been TTC #1 for 18 months, lost one last April and no pregnancies since :(

Clinic phoned this morning and said that my HCG level was 8 and therefore this may not be a viable pregnancy, they prefer to see 20. Looking for some hope. This is just plain mean, to be "not pregnant enough!"

That's silly! You could've implanted later!! Most women have a level of 0-5 when not pregnant ( or before implantation) so to say that is untrue! When are they testing again if at all?
Xxx
*edit* I didnt mean you were silly I meant they were for saying that to you, just wanted to say because sometimes things I type get taken outta context ( dunno why but it happens a lot!)
Ps good luck sweetie xxx

I think you should try to stay positive! Im wishing you luck and hoping that at your next test your number will be much higher. But isnt 11dpo a little early for them to determine its not enough? I feel like some people dont even get a positive till 14dpo or even 16dpo

If implantation just occurred--that would not be that low of a number...I hope they do another blood draw to see if the numbers double--that is the only real way to determine if the pg is viable...Chances are you talked to someone who doesn't know a thing about anything pregnancy related or they wouldn't have told you that to begin with..:hugs:...

Don't worry about it hun, nothing you can do until more bloodwork is drawn and ran...Try to relax--you are pregnant till told otherwise...If your not cramping or bleeding--then all will probably be ok! :hugs:

Thanks, you girls are so sweet!

Yes, the clinic wants me to come in Sunday which will be CD31 and 13dpo, to see if my numbers have doubled. It feels a bit early to me too, but I am trying to keep neutral. If there is one thing I have learned in all this time it's that I don't have much control! Things will happen as they will.

Mumma I didn't take it that way, no worries! Lol

Fingers crossed this bean sticks. Thanks again girls! :hugs:

Bad news unfortunately :( HCG levels went down to 7 point something on Sunday in blood work. And started spotting yesterday, AF arrived with a vengeance today.

Can't decide if it's better to know about a :bfp: and lose it, or just be ignorant and not pregnant for another month. Ugh. This TTC stuff really sucks sometimes.

Thanks for all your support ladies. Hope the next bean sticks for ALL of us :) :dust:

I'm a nurse and first trimester levels are from 5 or above, it should double every 2days and your really early I think maybe they might be concerned about it but it sounds ok... But continue to get your levels checked because yes there right the norm in very early is 20. GL
