Lego has some airplane model sets, and maybe some model airplanes he can put together/paint himself?

Thanks ladies! My first thought was airfix models but I've just checked with his mum and he's not really into model building (he finds them a bit frustrating). She has told me he's quite into the world wars so might have a nosey at some books on Amazon!
