Hello all ) I've been reading threads on this forum for about a week now and am becoming increasingly anxious as the days go on. My last period started on 10th July and I usually have a very regular 28 day cycle. It's Monday now and AF should be due on Wed.

We had unprotected sex twice around my ovulation time and ever since I have been feeling completely out of sorts. Here are my symptoms...

Head cold for at least a week now, blocked stuffy nose, blocked an sore ears, headache and feeling queasy.

Sneezing quite a lot

Tiredness

Very emotional

Keep getting really hot, body giving of a lot of heat, hot face and sweat easily e.g hanging a small amount of washing out or hoovering one room my face breaks out in a sweat.

Yesterday I went on a mad cleaning and tidying spree around the house, I think my husband thought I had lost the plot.

Have been getting a lot of jabbing pains and cramping in stomach - not unbearable, quite mild really.

Now that AF is getting closer, I'm beginning to experience some tenderness in my bbs, lower back and hip pain as I usually would with AF, and getting AF type cramps in my stomach.

Still have all symptoms of head cold and sneezing. Head feels travel sick.

I may of course just be unwell but does anyone think this could be pregnancy related and how similar are AF cramps to pregnancy cramps? Is there much difference?

I forgot to mention, I have also been a little constipated, initially dashing to the toilet every time I ate with a loose bowel movement to then having difficulty going. Also needing to wee more than usual. Too nervous to test incase all these symptoms amount to a BFN so holding out until Wed/Thur but it's so difficult waiting.

I would say get an early pregnancy first response type test and go for it. All symptoms sound promising. I'm having the same but only at 9dpo. I've also experienced this head cold for near on 7/8 days now!! Starting to get me down really. So hoping it is a BFP!! Good luck testing xx

Thanks Newlywed 2012 - congrats on your wedding btw. We got married at the end of June this year. Since getting married we haven't used protection (I have also been off the pill for a few years now) but this is the first time during my ovulation window. It's probably wishful thinking that it could happen so soon which is why I'm nervous to test and that AF will arrive on her broomstick. This would be my first pregnancy, would it be the same for you? Do you think your head cold is a symptom of pregnancy?

I always get cloudy heads around AF as its all hormonal my linked. I defo think because I've had then since ovulation this could be a very good sign. Although just like you I have I'm sceptical because I think how could I be so lucky to conceive on my first time trying. Even though my mum has five children and concieved first time with all of hers. Even fell pregnant on the pill!

If I test Friday and get a positive I will surprise my DH with a daddy gift. He will think its for our new house which we pick the keys up on Monday!! What amazing timing that would be. No heavy lifting ;-)

And to top it off our first wedding anniversary is 31/08!! So exciting. One year married and its been the best year of my life!!!

It could all just be symptoms of me coming off the pill. As I only came off of it two months ago so that's another reason I'm sceptical!!

I'm trying to wait until Wed to test but don't know if I've got the will power to wait. If I test sooner I will let you know. I'm just worried about these AF symptoms - I have read that it's hard to tell the difference between pregnancy cramps and AF cramps so I guess no one really know until they take the test. Sounds like an exciting time for you at home! New houses are so much fun, we've been in ours just over a year now and we love it. Good luck with getting pregnant and fingers crossed you already are. If it's negative this time we will just try again. You'll have to keep me posted on your progress.

5ummer I have just joined and have the same symptoms!! AF should arrive on Wednesday or Thursday and I hope it doesn't!

Sorry, only just seen your message. Good luck with your test. Do you still have cramps? Mine seem to come and go now. Cramps seem to be easing off really but then all of a sudden I'll get a twinge/ache as though AF is on her way. But who knows. She should be here tomorrow - the wait is torture. How are you today?

Hey you ladies! Good luck but thought would tell you that I fell pregnant first time trying with DD. We decided to 'see what happens' and then I had my BFP 2 weeks later! And a week before AF using a frer, so test test test!

Congrats on your DD AF is due tomorrow so I'm trying to hold out until then. Just got a feeling she will turn up but I've had so many symptoms this month I also have a glimmer of hope that she won't. I like your optimism. I guess I just don't want to be disappointed. Until AF shows then there is till hope, if I go and get a test now then it might be a BFN.

Thanks, DD is 3 now, seems a lifetime ago I was going through all this before! I am sorely tempted to go out and get a frer today, based on my early result last time. AF not due til 15th though so this would be early early! Sod it, I might do, at least if it is bfn I can say it's just too early, but if bfp then at least I know! Argghhh this is driving me crazy!

Ha, you seem to be the complete opposite to me. I don't want to know incase it's BFN. Your little girl is gorgeous. I'd love a daughter. I'd be thrilled whether I am blessed with a boy or a girl but I have been thinking of names for a girl for a long time and can't decide on anything for a boy. The names I had thought of previously for a boy either don't appeal anymore or other family members have chosen those names. I have a nephew who is almost 15 months and he's so adorable, he makes me feel very broody. Good luck with your test. Let me know how you get on.

Well I did a frer and it was BFN. What was i thinking!

I really ought to change the picture of Belle, she must've been only about 18 months in that photo! When I was pregnant with her, we were convinced I was having a boy, had all boys names chosen. Then found out at my scan it was a girl! I am really glad I had a girl, she is amazing and I love her to bits! Secretly I would love another girl. I still have all of Belle old clothes just in case. Knowing my luck it would be a boy!

Oh no! Sorry about your result... But like you said, it was VERY early. I really don't think that could be a reliable test.
