So this is till 2 weeks away for me but i can't stop thinking about it. Is an an NT scan standard or not? My doc asked at my 7w scan if I would like to do the blood test for downs but didn't mention anything about a scan. Is there anything else that happens at this scan?

I don't know how it works in ZA but in the UK, they do the US to check everything is as it should be and they then measure the nuchal fold at the back of the baby's neck. They then take bloods which they use, along with the nuchal fold measurement to determine your level of risk for Down's Syndrome. I had my 12 week scan on Monday and received my NT results this morning x
